HAROLD COOMBS

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late HAROLD JAMES COOMBS of Terrenceville announces his passing.  Harold passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Saturday, June 13th, 2020 at the age of 86.  Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife, Theresa of 64 years; sons, Joe Coombs  (Maxine) of Terrenceville, Harold Coombs Jr. of Carbonear, Noel Coombs of Terrenceville, Sean Coombs (Charlene) of Terrenceville, Paul Coombs (Beverley) of Terrenceville, and Anthony Coombs (Nisa) of Edmonton; daughters, Donna Crocker (Lemont) of Terrenceville, Rose Coombs (Guy) of Red Deer, Sandra Lambe of Terrenceville, Marguerite Cave (Alfred) of Trepassey, and Elizabeth Butler (Warren) of Upper Gullies; 19 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren ; brother, John Coombs (Evelyn) of Wreck Cove; sisters, Sarah Ann Rideout of Terrenceville, Sheila Kennedy (James) of St. John’s, and Roseann Brooks (Junior) of Grand Bank;  sister-in-law, Anita Earl of Holyrood; aunts, Edith Hackett (Jack) of Terrenceville, and Mary Alice Byrd (Freeman) of Marystown; his good buddy, Eric Hackett; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.  Harold was predeceased by his parents, John and Selina Coombs, brother, William Coombs; sister, Rita Drake; sister-in-law, Dora Coombs; and brother-in-law, Leo Rideout. 

Cremation to take place 

  Due to the current Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 a burial service will take place at a later time. 

In Harold’s memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or The Diabetes Association.
