It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Jack Walsh of Creston South announces his passing. Jack passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 at the age of 72. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Eva of 47 years; sons, Terry (Paula Brenton) of Marystown, and David (Beverley) of Marystown; 5 grandchildren, Ethan, Brandon, Jackson, Taylor, and Bella; brothers, Dan Walsh (Florence) of Marystown, Anthony Walsh (Vivian) of Bay d’Espair, Gerald Walsh (Mary) of Little Bay, and Terry Walsh (Pauline) of Burin; sisters, Susanna Denis (Charlie) of Creston South, Lydia Hodder of Scarborough, ON, and Maryann Baker (Bill) of Marystown; brothers-in-law, Max Taylor (Annette) of Boxy, Dave Taylor (Elaine) of Corner Brook, and Merrill Taylor (Susan) of St. John’s; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Murray of Marystown, and Gloria Kirby (Barry) of Burin plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Jack was predeceased by his parents, John and Susan Walsh, parents-in-law, Max and Doris Taylor; sister, Patricia Oak; and brothers-in-law, Eric Hodder, and Gord Murray.
The Walsh Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Marystown on Thursday, February 20th from 1pm to 9pm and Friday, February 21st from 10am to 9pm, vigil at 8pm.
Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Saturday, February 22nd at 10am.
As per Jack’s wishes, cremation will follow
