MARION S. STAPLETON
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late MARION S. STAPLETON of Marystown announces her passing. Marion passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at the age of 70. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband Gerard of 51 years; daughter, Tracey Quirke (Michael) of Marystown; son, Shawn Stapleton (Cindy Paul) of Marystown; 4 grandchildren, Alexandra (Jamie), Felicia, Darcie and Carly; sisters, Joan Dwyer of CBS, Edna Power (Richard) of Marystown, Mary Anne Hanrahan of Clarenville, Delorse Hannam (Don) of Marystown, Veronica Hanrahan of Niagara Falls, Sharon Green (Rex) of Marystown, Wanda Cluett (Perry) of Garnish, Donia McCarthy (Robert) of Caldon, ON and DeniseMolloy (Brian) of Marystown; brothers, Adrian Hanrahan (Cathy) of Stephenville, Kevin Hanrahan (Janet) of Ottawa, and Wayne Hanrahan (Connie) of Edmonton, AB; sisters-in-law, Leona Mealey of Sudbury, ON, Shirley Stapleton of Marystown, and Sadie Freeman of Florida; brothers-in-law, Ray Stapleton of St. Catherines, ON, Walter Stapleton (Judy) of Marystown, Wayne Stapleton (Stephanie) of Coquitlam, BC, John Stapleton (Gina) of Coquitlam, BC, and Brian Stapleton (Velma) of St. John’s; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Marion was predeceased by her parents, Adrian & Hannah Hanrahan; sister, Bertha Coady; parents-in-law, Theophilus & Victoria Stapleton; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Hanrahn and Mary Stapleton; and brothers-in-law, Tom Stapleton, Todd Stapleton, and John Mealey.
The Stapleton Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes, Marystown on Sunday, October 20th from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Monday, October 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. A prayer vigil will be held at Wiseman’s Funeral Home on Monday, October 21st at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
In Marion’s memory donations may be made to The Burin Peninsula Health Care Chemotherapy Unit.
