WILFRED L. MILLER
It is with great sadness that the family of the late WILFRED L. MILLER of Grand Bank announce his passing, after a brief battle with cancer, at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Sunday, September 22nd, at the age of 74. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are; wife Joan of 53 years; daughter, Cheryl Mallard (Stephen) of Paradise; sons, Robert (Denise) of St. John’s, Colin (Cara) of Toronto, ON; sisters, Jean Pearce (Calvin), Lorraine Miller-Hamlyn (Arthur); brother, Roy Miller (Helen); brothers-in-law, Charlie Follett, Harold Follett (Maxine), Frank Follett (Patricia); sister-in-law, Sharon Follett; 6 grandchildren, Victoria (Emil Rossen), Rebecca (Adam Green), Susan, Robyn, James and Elizabeth; 2 great-grandchildren, Penelope & Otis Green; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert & Ella (Senior) Miller; stepmother, Winnie (Harnum); brother, Wycliffe Miller; parents-in-law, Charles & Lillian Follett; brother-in-law, George Follett; sister-in-law, Sherry Snook.
Out of respect for Wilfred's wishes, cremation has taken place.
The Miller Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Grand Bank on Wednesday, September 25th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm & 7:00pm - 9:00pm and Thursday, September 26th from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday September 26, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Grand Bank United Church with Rev. Sharon Earle-Marshall officiating. Committal to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank.
In Wilfred’s memory, donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation or the Grand Bank United Church. No flowers by request.
