SHEILA MARIE BUTLER
We sadly announce the passing of our mom, SHEILA MARIE BUTLER, of Grand Bank. Mom passed away at home on August 26th, 2019 at the age of 61. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her daughter, Sandra Henneberry (Patrick) of Nova Scotia; son, Jeff Butler (Wendy) of Marystown;
4 grandchildren, Brad, Gabrielle, Dylan, and Evan; mother-in-law, Beatrice Butler whom she loved as her own; sisters, Mary Myles (Bill), Linda Pardy (Gordon), Joanne Clarke (Brian), and Carolyn Stewart (Jim); brothers, Wayne Hillier (Brenda), and Fred Hillier (Meta), plus a large circle of extended family and her life long friend Jackie Ralph.
Mom was fiercely strong and independent. She maintained her beautiful smile through her journey with cancer. It was her faith in God that carried her through her most difficult days.
Mom had a strong work ethic, she did, and would do anything for anyone. She was an avid reader, loved baking, doing puzzles, and was a serious competitor during a family board game. She loved doing facials with her sisters, fishing, and cook ups in the country. Her biggest joy came from spending time with her grandkids, never missing a birthday or special occasion. We will cherish the memories of our family vacations to Florida, Cuba, and the Caribbean forever.
Mom has gone to meet her Lord and reunite with family and friends. Waiting for her are her parents, Donald and Mary Hillier, sisters, Wendy and Sandra; big brother, Reg; and grandson, Kyle; little nephew, Anthony.
Our family wish to thank Dr. S. Beckley, Tracy Penny RN, Dr. N. Pardy, and nursing staff of 4 North A of the Health Sciences Center, staff at Daffodil Place, Majors Arley and Major Darlene Masters, Tracy, Lily, Trina Hillier, everyone who donated to mom’s fundraiser, friends who called, messaged, visited, and made mom her favorite treats.
