FREEMAN J. ROUL
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late FREEMAN JOSEPH ROUL announces his sudden but peaceful passing at his residence in Lawn on Friday, August 9th at the age of 68. Leaving to mourn with loving and happy memories are his wife of 47 years, Esther (Brockerville); son, Edward (Kimberly House) of Lawn and special son, Matthew of Lawn; daughters, Marsha Roul (Ian Spencer) of Digby, NS, Cynthia Roul (Ryan Drake) of Lawn, and Shyla Roul (Jay Grant) of Lawn; grandchildren, Jacob Roul, Jared and Kiera Pittman, Hope and Mya Drake, and Shea and Layla Grant; brothers, William (Brud) (Eileen) of Placentia and Robert (Gerri) of Marystown; sisters, Mercedes Clarke (Tede) of Little St. Lawrence, Laura Flannigan of St. John's, Ellen Rogers (James) and Madeline Edwards both of Lawn, Sue Tarrant (Andrew) of Bradford, and Kathy Roul (Mario Jarvis) of Lawn; brothers-in-law, Ed Brockerville (Monica), Ernie Brockerville (Lyn), Glen Brockerville (Bernice), Frank Brockerville (Claudia), Pad Brockerville (Jackie), and Carl Walsh; sisters-in-law, Mary Slaney (Lou), Kay Brockerville (Joe Merrigan), Ann Brockerville (Clum Roul), Holly, Mabel, and Beth Brockerville; plus a large number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Freeman was predeceased by his parents Edward and Kathleen (Lockyer) Roul; stepfather, Joe Mike Drake; parents-in-law Ernest and Kathleen (Edwards) Brockerville; grandson, John Freeman Grant; sister and brother-in-law, Anna Mary and Ernest Drake; sister, Eileen Walsh; brothers-in-law Herb and Harold Brockerville, Paul Clarke, Ted Edwards, and Cyril Flannigan; and sister-in-law, Velda Brockerville.
In honoring his wishes, cremation will take place.
The Roul Family will be accepting visitors at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Lawn on Monday, August 12th beginning at 1pm with a prayer vigil being held at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Lawn on Tuesday, August 13th at 1pm. Inurnment will follow at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lawn.
