It is with broken hearts that the family of the late JACKIE R. SLANEY of St. Lawrence announces her passing.  Jackie passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Center in Burin on Monday, May 6th, 2019 at the age of 60.  Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Wayne of 42 years; son, Augustine (Malinda) of Portugal Cove;  daughter, Stacey (Bobby) Burt of Kemptville, ON; grandson, Xavier; sisters, Linda (Eric) Smith of Goulds, Pam Erbb of ON, and Tina (Doug) Beatty of ON; brothers, Ed (Barb) Hearn of ON, David (Ann Marie) Hearn of ON, and Michael Hearn of St. John’s; brother-in-law, Clarence Farmer of ON; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.  Jackie was predeceased by her parents, Gus & Margaret Hearn; brother Gus Hearn; sisters, Paula Companion, and Carol Farmer; and parents-in-law, Isabel & Vincent Slaney.  

 The Slaney Family will be accepting visitors at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in St. Lawrence on Tuesday, May 7th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, May 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Thursday, May 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Prayer Vigil to be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 8th and 7:00 p.m. and a Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.  Cremation to follow.

 In Jackie’s memory donations may be made to the Slaney Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
