It is with broken hearts that the family of the late JOHN ALVIN WALKER of St. Lawrence, originally of Ontario announces his passing.  John passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on April 26th, 2019 at the age of 81.  Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Melvina; his granddaughter, Katherine Walker of Mount Pearl; his great-grandson, Grayson who he adored; mother-in-law, Helena of St. Lawrence; son, Duff Walker of Ontario; daughters, Nikki Rowalchuk of Ontario, and Susan Worby of Texas; 4 other grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Robin, and Anthony; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.  John was predeceased by his mother, Vesta Walker and his father Alvin Walker, his son, Scott and his daughter, Lorrie.

 The Walker Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Marystown on Saturday, April 27th from 7pm to 9pm and Sunday, April 28th from 10 am to 9 pm. A funeral service will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Monday, April 29th at 10:30 am.  Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery in St. Lawrence. 

In John’s memory donations may be made to The Walker Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
