It is with broken hearts that the family of the late JUANITA HACKETT of St. Bernard’s announces her passing.  Juanita passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Friday, April 5th, 2019 at the age of 62.  Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Clarence of 44 years; daughter, Heather Hackett-Hayes (Lynn) of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Clara and Lynden; sisters, Edith Hynes of St. Bernard’s, Lillian (Bill) Hodder of St. Bernard’s, Doreen Thornhill (Eddie) of Little Bay East, and Sheila Brinston of Labrador City; brothers, Wallace Myles of Burin, Terry Myles of BC, and Alec Myles (Helen) of St. John’s; sister-in-law, Loretta Myles of AB; best friend, Vera Hackett of St. Bernard’s; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.  Juanita was predeceased by her parents William & Julie Myles; son, Clarence Hackett; brother, Gerald Myles; parents-in-law, Genevieve & Clarence Hackett.

The Hackett Family will be accepting visitors at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, St. Bernard’s on Sunday, April 7th beginning at 7pm; Monday, April 8th from 2pm to 4pm, and 7pm to 9pm.  Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, 2019 at 1:00 pm from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, St. Bernard’s.  Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard’s.

In Juanita’s memory, donations may be made to The Janeway Children’s Hospital or flowers gratefully accepted.
