Administrative Assistant

DEFINITION

Wiseman's Funeral Homes is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant in our Grand Bank office. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties including routine office tasks, dealing with the public, taking payments and managing stock, compiling funeral paperwork and merchandise, working with Funeral Directors in making arrangements, and other duties as required. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm with some evenings and weekends.

CHARACTERISTICS

Applicant should be fluent with computers, including Microsoft Office suite, have experience working in an office environment, possess good communication and organizational skills and be flexible with work hours. Due to the sensitivity of the funeral industry, friendliness, compassion, dependability, and strict confidentiality is necessary. A resident of Grand Bank an asset.

SUPERVISION

Receives immediate supervision from owners and management staff
